[ most of the time when andy is in the kitchen at strange hours, she is making the lazy man's food - funny sandwiches, a stockpile of cookies, raiding the alcohol supply - but tonight, at roughly 5am she is sitting at the kneading a pile of dough. there's an opened bag of chocolate chips on the table that she occasionally eats out of, as well as a half drained bottle of vodka. did she sleep yet or did she just wake up?? impossible to tell. the only apparent thing is that she has succumb to the urge to bake her own bread. ]

[ bread and baklava, truly among life's greatest joys. ]

[ she hums quietly as she kneads, but the song is - odd. it's not something particularly recognizable, because she's mixed up a very old tune she only remembers pieces of and one of joe's favorite medieval ballads. she pauses a moment to take a sip from the bottle and shove a handful of chocolate chips in her mouth, then immediately goes back to the bread dough - but don't worry, she washed her hands! ]

[ andy did not purposely fall asleep in the training room. she was drinking and blowing off some minor steam with some of the dummies, but when she sat against the wall to eat her snack and finish up the bottle, she'd drifted off... and just stayed there. she curls up on the floor and takes a nap. ]

[ if you're loud coming in, she'll wake with a start, her hand automatically grabbing the sword beside her, but once she realizes where she is, she simply yawns and stretches - sword still in hand and thus lifting into the air - before she actually looks over to see who's there. ]

[ on the other hand, if you're quiet upon entering the room, she'll likely just keep sleeping unless prodded or questioned, unless you don't see her at all and just start practicing - then she'll just groan as she slowly wakes up and blearily blinks around the room. ]

[ cassian might not have been around as long as some of the others, but it doesn't mean he hadn't already memorized the layout of the ximilia. he's used to space stations, but even when he's spent excessive time on a starship, it's not like he'd considered it a living space like the ximilia has become. because... he lives here now. apparently. ]

[ he likes to tinker in the labs, which is where he'll be sitting today. while a lot about ximilia is familiar to him and he's a fast learner, there are still mystery pieces he's trying to sort out as he does indeed sort through the physical pieces. just as curious to him are the people that come in, because it's not exactly a frequented room. he wants to get a sense of who else might like to tinker, compare it to his notes about who helped with what back in the olivia situation. ]

This is not your box of mess, is it? [ he glances at whoever comes in. the answer doesn't matter to him so much as how they answer it. ]

[ it's not that cassian likes the common room, but he does like getting a sense of the people around him. they're stuck in close quarters, and he's admittedly kept to himself a lot more than he normally would - something about being dead and pretending he's working through that. he is not. he's just tired. he knows he should be getting to know these people if he's going to accomplish the goals here, but it's the first time he doesn't feel that mission-like pressure to be on all the time. maybe it's the dead thing again. ]

[ he mulls over the book collection in the common room, all of the titles unfamiliar, but he's making a mental list of the ones he might want to read first simply by appeal of title. he picks one at random and sits in an armchair, hunching over enough in what he assumes is an approximation of comfort. he doesn't want to focus on the book so much as use it as an excuse to sit around and people watch whoever might come by. ]
